FORCLIMIT staff participated in two meetings in Brussels discussing how to develop the Forest Reference Line.
Experts from the FORCLIMIT consortium were invited to a DIABLO workshop: “Improving Communication and Exchange of Forest Information for forest-related LULUCF and climate policy needs in Europe”. The workshop was held in Brussels on the 15 February 2018. The regulation about including LULUCF in the EU-burden sharing agreement was discussed and especially how to develop the FRL (Forest Reference Line) for Managed Forest Land.
An informal LULUCF workshop on setting the FRL was hosted by the Polish Ministry of Environment in Brussels, 22 February 2018. Members of the FORCLIMIT consortium participated as experts. Technical issues concerning the development of FRLs were discussed.
